Fly Fishing Academy
Apr 27th, 2009, 12:26pm
Just wanted to thank everyone involved for all the help provided to my son, Jake.  He had a great time and was very excited about what he learned and getting the rod and reel.  He's never showed much interest in fishing so I was suprised when I asked him if he was interested in the Academy and he said yes.  Now I've got both my kids to take fly fishing!  Thanks again for giving your time for this event.
PS, he can't wait for the field trip to the river in two weeks.

Just wanted to say, your welcome!
Thank you for being so supportive to Jake. No matter how much effort we put in to getting these kids involved in fly fishing, it would mean little without a parent that will encourage and help them!

Jeff and Jake,
I think Jake will make a good fly fisherman.  I was helping with the casting and Jake really dialed it!
As Joe M. mentioned having the support at home makes all the difference.
There is a little park near my house and I go down there often to practice my casting.  Then, when I hit the beach or the river, I am spot on because I have been practicing my casts.  So there are lots of ways to have fun even if it is on dry land.
We will have fun the new graduates catch fish!
