Rapid River, Maine
May 26th, 2014, 3:24pm

I recently got some time to fish some of my local waters close to my college. My college roommate and Johnny were fortunate enough to join me on the trip up to the Rangeley area. I go to Bates College in Lewiston Maine, which is roughly a 2 hour drive to the Brook Trout mega of the United States. The two notorious rivers in the Rangeley area are the Magalloway and the Rapid, and they never seem to disappoint.

Tyler,

Those are some spectacular Brook trout you guys tied into. Most people have never seen Brookies that size. I have dreamed of going to Labrador to catch what I believe are the largest Brook trout on the planet. The quality and quantity of what you guys caught just takes my breath away. Great job on the fish and thanks for sharing your catch with the working poor. Maine is now on my bucket list!
