Mike and Joseph's Mammoth Fishing Expedition
Jul 29th, 2010, 10:03pm

Although not as young as some of our fellow fishermen, Mike and I had a good fishing adventure over a four day weekend (July 16-20).

We fished the usual spots with mixed success. The lakes were slow. Big lightening, thunder, and rain in the afternoons.

We explored McGee Creek only to find it a blasting torrent. Mike got two trout on Rush Creek. We got some good strikes on Mary Lake but not takers. The most productive was Hot Creek and we focused on it a lot after trying the other places.

A guide showed me this short line set up. It is very productive on small rivers and creeks.
