Santa Ynez River July 3rd
Jul 4th, 2010, 10:17am

Johnny and I went up to the Santa Ynez early on Saturday morning. There are small bass and bluegills showing up. At the Academy outing no one caught fish. Some of us thought the carp had eaten all the eggs so there were not going to be any fish in the big pools.

New theory = the water has warmed up enough for the warm water species to hatch.

It is from Harvard but we'll find out if I get in next year. The hat is from my brother.

And here's a nice sunfish caught by Joseph (mine was a smallmouth)
