Pics of Stripers on Castaic Lake
Mar 21st, 2010, 12:51am

I fished Castaic with my friend Geoff on 3/19/10. After hearing Larry Kurosaki at our club meeting this month we decided to hire him to guide us around the lake. We have a boat that can not go in Casitas or Cachuma waters. The boat has an enclosed floor board that can not be inspected. We talked about storing the boat near Castaic and making it the place to go when we get the urge to find striper action.

Larry was so good to us. He improved our fishing techniques, helped us get more distance in our casting strokes, and he showed us how to find fish in Castaic. Any one looking for some fun fishing on big stripers needs to get hooked up with Larry.

Here are a few pics of our trip.

It was my birthday and this is a six pounder that was pulling line off the reel:

Joseph, good to see you trying to post pictures. If you want them to show you must copy and paste the exact link to the picture.

To avoid problems and get the best results:

  • Do not use space in file names
  • use all lower case characters and no weird characters (letters, numbers, - and _ only)
  • Keep file names simple and small
  • copy and paste links (do not try to type them)

By the way, Happy Birthday! Did you get your name because you were born on St. Joseph's Day?

Joe,

My Dad's name was Joe, so the plan was to name the first boy Joseph. That happened to be me. As it so happened, I was born on 3/19/45, St. Joseph's day, (in the Catholic calendar).

I was named after my grandfather.

I see your picture links are now correct but the link to your avatar is still incorrect.

Remember, to use an avatar picture:

  • size it down to 100 pixels wide
  • save it as a small file for web use
  • upload it to your photo site
  • copy and paste its exact link

Nice pics and fish, I am completely jealous. I was talking to Eric the other day and he recommended this trip. I am thinking of saving it for when my brother comes down from Seattle in June.
