Bass: The Movie, party, win tickets; who's going?
Oct 2nd, 2009, 12:27pm
First Thing:
Anyone like to win two tickets to the Premiere? Come to the meeting on Tuesday, there will be two tickets in the raffle.
As you may already know, a new movie about Bass fishing in California is going to have it's premiere in West Hollywood at the Pacific Design Center on October 17th.
Some things you might not know:
For those attending the premiere, there will be boats, gear, fishing pros, speakers (starting about 2:15 PM) before and after the showing and drawings for some great prizes:
  • Sage Bass Rod and matching Line
  • Simms waterproof duffel bags
  • Simms tech dry shirts
  • Simms hats
  • Snag Proof Frog Select set
  • 20 BASS: The MOVIE DVDs (2 disc set with Bill Dance retrospective interview and deleted fish scenes)

The movie puts conventional and fly anglers together in some of California's world class Bass waters to share techniques and produces exciting results. This is going to be a fun event!
Jamie Howard, the producer, has made available two tickets to be given away at this months meeting on tuesday.
For those that want to purchase tickets, you can buy them at:

Or Call: Fishermen's Spot - 877 785-7306 ~ or ~ Bob Marriotts - 800 535-6633
Eric at the Artful Angler also has some tickets available. - 805 566-5900
Second Thing:
Who's going? Would anyone like to get together for lunch before the event? A bunch of us got together before a film festival a few years ago before a different movie event and it was a lot of fun. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. If interested, let me know.
