Coronado-Memorial Day Weekend
May 29th, 2009, 10:26pm

I headed down to SD to visit my brother for the big weekend. We headed over to Coronado near the hotel Del. In an hour we caught 9 perch and 1 yellow fin croaker. I saw about 6 Corvina scooting around in about 1 foot of water, however I couldn't get them in interested in my fly. I did notice some baitfish in the surf and hucked a bunch of junk at em. I tried an orange ruffie, surf rat, clouser (olive), and PMC. Plus a couple of varieties of my own creation (orange chenille, Black barbell eyes, red marabou tail, kyrstal flash, and silly legs).

Have the Corvina arrived in Santa Barbara yet?

They're Corbina, that's their job!  Grin

I haven't been out in a while but I hear they are cruising the beaches here.
