First Time Out
Oct 1st, 2008, 10:49am

I'm newer to the area and have been visiting your forum off and on for some time. I am originally a river fisher from the pacific northwest and haven't done a whole lot of surf fishing. I read up on a lot of the posts made in this forum and finally gave it a shot on Saturday at Ellwood Beach. It was windy and off and on foggy but extremely worth it. I hooked and landed multiple perch and finally ended up hooking a shovel nosed shark. That was a crazy experience for me, I had never seen one until I caught it.

Thanks All

Ryan

I am impressed. Maybe there is hope for me when I finally get out there. Congrats.

Good for you Ryan. Those shovel nose sure do take you for a fun ride! I went out yesterday and just posted a report too.
