Fred Hall Show
Mar 5th, 2008, 9:54am

Anyone going to Long Beach for the show?

This year the fly fishing section will be on the main floor with a casting pond. This is more like it was before the Fly Fishing Show took away the exibitors. Now it seems that the tables may be turning. The Fly Fishing Show in Pasadena was lean on major exibitors.

If your at the show, stop by the Snowbee booth and say hello.

Well, it seems the Fred Hall Show is very lean on fly fishing exhibitors. There is a casting pond, but no water. Not sure why the casting pond is dry. There's a gigantic "aquarium" with trout that kids are allowed to fish nearby. They can watch the little "food pellet?" through the glass as they reach over the top with their spinning rod to fish.

The show is BIG in all other areas and interesting. I was pleased at the food available in a place between the arena and the main hall. It was inexpensive and good; there's even a bar. Probably hit that restaurant again today.

Interesting note on the US economy:

Snowbee has a sale on products. Some guys from England saw the prices and bought over $400.00 in fly line. Europeans can now save money by shopping in the US!
