Santa Barbara Fishing November
Jul 30th, 2006, 6:31am

I will be in Santa Barbara in the beginning of November.  I am running some golf events for a conference.  Is there a small stream that I could wave a stick in for a few hours?   Of course, I am thinking trout.

I  think I may add a couple of days after for a little fishing vacation.  What is the best fishing within a couple hours drive?  (I love small water)

The local river, the Santa Ynez, doesn't receive and stocking until later in the year or, more likely, early the next year. There is still some fishing for smallmouth.

The closest place for good fishing is the Kern River. November should be very good up there. If you like small streams, the high country and meadow creeks are great for Golden Trout.
