I always pass this river on the 101. Anyone have any experience on it? How do I get to it off of the 101 going north?

Haven't been up in that area for many years. I seem to remember you can get a permit to fish on a military reservation. Don't remember the details but you can maybe find out by calling the fly shop in Carmel.

Dept Fish and Game runs a hunting and fishing program at Camp Roberts.  The Naciamento River runs through it.
Try:

for the home page that tells more than you want to know about the program.   I have tried it once without success on trout.  However, I have seen some taken on flies, but mostly on bait/lures at the stocking locations.
