Santa Ynez Academy Trip
May 7th, 2006, 3:02pm

On Saturday the Academy Students had their fly fishing field trip to the Santa Ynez River. For some it was there first time fishing. They had a chance to catch their first trout on a fly with there new Redington rod and reel fly outfits. Did they catch fish? You bet they did!

To see more pictures of the trip check out the Academy 2006 album

These talented students did a great job with casting and applying the skills they learned in the Academy.

We, the club members, and their parents were very proud of all of them! It was a pleasure to fish with these new flyfishers and I, for one, am looking to fishing with them again!  Smiley

PS: If anyone has more pictures, send them to me.

Nice pics. Kids looked like they were having a good time. Were you at the second crossing?.....I noticed a group of kids at the pool behind the ranger station on sunday, but none of them were fishing.
