Title: Kern River big fish report
Post by Forum Admin on Apr 28th, 2011, 10:13pm

I haven't been up to the Kern for a few weeks so it was nice to return and find the river in such good shape. The flows are over 3000 fps and there is a lot of "new water" created by the higher flows. Clarity is very good and the fish are not only plentiful but they are big. Here's what a few hours on the river produced today:

As the flows increase, more new trout holding water will be created. This is a fun time of the year to fish!
