Title: The Rivers Around Aspen Colorado
Post by lingcod on Sep 26th, 2010, 5:12pm

I was in Denver for a psychology conference and then I spent a week in Carbondale with a friend. There are so many great rivers around the Aspen area. Here are a few shots:

The Roaring Fork

South Platte out of Denver

Blue lake was near my friend David and Susie's house. There were some fat boys that ate big streamers in Blue Lake.

Did the classic hike up to Maroon Bells with friends

And the last river I fished was the Arkansas

I have no idea of how many fish I caught in one week but it was in the bazillions. I can't think of a place with so many rivers that are so full of beautiful trout (and Colorado White Fish as well).

Thanks for the post. This rings nostalgic for me. Reminds me of the rivers I learned on in Eastern Washington and Oregon. I love the pic of the mountains.

Great report Joseph.  Looks like you had a blast.  Being able to fish for so many days in a row is really the way to get better at outsmarting our fishy friends.  Can retirement be far away?  I hope not.

Joseph it looks like you had a great time. Even without such awesome fishing the scenery is so beautiful.
