Title: Santa Margarita lake (report)
Post by Hawaiianhillbilly on Apr 12th, 2010, 8:44pm

10Apr10....I recon/scouted SML on Saturday, it was cold, windy, and overcast (not ideal conditions) I landed a 10 lb. Largemouth bass (foul hooked), and we caught a few crappie 14" and bigger....its promising to be an AWESOME season at SML.....next Saturday I'll have some new fly fisher-people and try to put them on fish!

Lopez lake, is also starting up my brother fishing in his kayak is drop shotting fly's at the "F" dock and hammering the crappie (aprox. 20-24' down) he is getting incidental LMB catches as well up tp 6 lbs.

I left some pics on Erics Facebook (Artful Angler)

Thank for posting the Santa Margarita report.

That's one of my favorite lakes.  I've got to get up there this spring!
