Title: Redington Repair
Post by Surf to SY on Jul 14th, 2009, 9:07pm

I recently broke the tip of a Redington rod under warranty so I'm sending in the whole setup per their guidelines. In a few weeks I plan on heading back to Mammoth and was hoping to have the  rod back by then.

Does anyone have experience with Redington's warranty repair system?
Is two weeks a reasonable amount of time to expect the rod back if all they have to do is replace the tip section of the rod?

My experinece has been very good with them.  Most likely they will get it back to you within two weeks.  If you need a rod I got a Sage discovery 5wt to lend you if you need it.  Hey stop by the flytying sesion next Tuesday evening at WSRC at Henry's Beach          LEW

Redington is one of the best companies to deal with in warranty returns. The only time I broke a tip on a Redington rod they had it back to me pretty fast. However, you should call them and tell them of your urgency.

When you do talk to them you might thank them for being so helpful to our club. We get our rods and reels for the Youth Academy from them and without their help we couldn't provide nice outfits to all the kids.

Thank you,
I'll make sure to let them know I need the rod back soon and to thank them for the youth academy gear they've given us over time.

Thanks Lew for the offer but this is only a three wt. that I might use for fishing smaller creeks like Rock or Rush. I'm all set up with five wts.

Thanks Lew,
I might want to take you up on that offer in the off chance that I don't get the rod back in time. Hopefully that won't be the case though.

I'm definitely interested in attending the fly tying... What time is it on Tuesday?

I had fun at the tying Tuesday. Thanks for that.

I also am leaving tomorrow and my rod is not back yet. A week and a half was a little optimistic I guess...
Is that 7'6" rod of yours still up for grabs?
