Title: Fly Swap
Post by ryan15 on Apr 24th, 2009, 9:02am

Hey all,

I was on the Kern River Fly Fishing website the other day and noticed they have fly swaps. I was wondering if anybody here is interested in doing the same. I tie quite a bit and I would say my flies are pretty decent, definitely fishable. It would be a good chance to meet some people, exchange some tying tips, and be a good challenge to hone one's skills (I don't want to give away crap). I don't know if we should put any constraints on what type of flies or how many,  I just wanted to put out the idea and gauge a response, we can get more specific after that.  Let me know if your interested.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Actually I'm the one that put in the Fly Swap board on the Kern River Forum. Having themes seem to be the format of fly swaps. I guess it makes it more interesting and inspiring. Let's see if you get some response here.  :)
