Title: Perch-A-Rama
Post by lingcod on Feb 18th, 2008, 10:51pm

Perchers, and Others That Hang Out Around Beaches to Fish,

There are so many perch in the water that it looks like it will be a good year.  Lew Riffle stated that there was good spawning and a good hatch last year so we are seeing the benefits this year.

The fish are small but there are bizillions of them in the surf.  Sometimes you will get a fish on every cast.

GET OUT THERE SOON!!

I fished La Conchita at low tide today.  It was overcast, windy, and cold.  Even if the line hit the water in front of me, because of the wind, (no lousy casts of course), I would hook a dink...... or even smaller than that.

Hope to see you you out there,

Joseph
